2012 PBI Annual Conference

2012 ConferenceThe 2012 PBI Annual Conference was the best we’ve had yet with more than 350 participants from law firms, in-house legal departments, and public interest organizations coming from all over the world to attend.

The Conference featured some key perennial sessions such as Law Firm Pro Bono 101 for our new and newish pro bono leaders and the Master Class for the leaders of more mature programs.  We also featured some new sessions to address recent changes in pro bono culture and practice, the ever growing in-house pro bono movement, and the integration of technology into pro bono practice.  The Conference concluded with a very special presentation by Dr. Larry Richard on what factors motivate lawyers to volunteer.

Video from this year’s plenary will be posted soon.  Click below to read more about our 2012 Laurie D. Zelon Pro Bono Award Winner Jane Sherburne and the legal department of BNY Mellon and to view photos from the reception following presentation of the award.
