Corporate Pro Bono, a project of the Pro Bono Institute, is designed to substantially increase the amount of pro bono work performed by in-house counsel and to enhance the pro bono culture of in-house legal departments through technical assistance to the in-house community, targeted research and publications, online information and services, and outreach and educational programming. Corporate Pro Bono also works closely with ACC chapters to focus their resources and agendas on pro bono service.
Corporate Pro Bono Challenge® – Join the voluntary statement of commitment to pro bono service by legal departments, their lawyers and staff. In 2006, Corporate Pro Bono launched an initiative that enables legal departments to identify, benchmark, and communicate their support for pro bono service.
CPBO Challenge® 100 – This important milestone in in-house pro bono recognizes the stature and leadership of the companies that have committed to the Corporate Pro Bono Challenge® and seeks to increase momentum and pro bono culture within the corporate community.
Clinic-in-a-Box® Program – These half-day clinics provide in-house counsel the opportunity to earn CLE credit while advising nonprofit organizations or small businesses. They are produced in collaboration with legal departments, ACC Chapters, local nonprofit organizations, and major law firms.
Resources – Helpful information, such as articles, memoranda, training manuals, bibliographies, and policies written by those who are most knowledgeable in a broad range of pro bono activities. We’re tracking down the best materials and bringing them to you in a quickly and easily searchable format.
Events – From the Annual Forum on In-House Pro Bono to the Pro Bono Institute’s Annual Dinner, there are opportunities for you to get involved with CPBO.
