The Dinner is PBI’s signature event bringing together law firms, in-house legal departments, and others dedicated to advancing justice to recognize exceptional pro bono achievements and inspire innovations in the delivery of pro bono legal services.
The 2026 Dinner will feature a special celebration of the 30th Anniversary of PBI and recognition of the 20th Anniversary of the Corporate Pro Bono Challenge® initiative.
The John H. Pickering Award honors a a law firm for its outstanding commitment to pro bono legal services. The award is given in honor of John H. Pickering, a distinguished appellate attorney and leader of the legal profession who was well-known for his extraordinary commitment to pro bono and public interest law.
The CPBO project of PBI created the CPBO Pro Bono Partner Award to recognize innovative pro bono collaborations of in-house legal departments in partnership with law firms and public interest organizations. The CPBO Pro Bono Partner Award is selected by the CPBO Advisory Board and is presented annually at the PBI Annual Dinner.
