Virtual Credit Repair Pro Bono Clinic for Trafficking Survivors

Wednesday, July 15 | Virtual (online)
Appointment times (Pacific Time):
Option 1: 12:30 pm – 3:00 pm PT
Option 2: 3:00 pm – 5:30 pm PT

Who is this clinic for?
Survivors of human trafficking seeking a confidential, trauma-informed legal consultation to help with credit repair under the Debt Bondage Repair Act (DBRA).

What can we help with?
Clinic volunteers will meet with the survivor to review their credit reports and prepare a Trafficking Block Request that the volunteers will send to Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion.

What documents will I need to participate?
Survivors must have a Victim Determination Document (VDD) to be eligible for relief.  Additionally, survivors will need a proof of identity, a proof of current address, and a copy of your most recent credit report from Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion (any available).  For more information about the required documents, please click the registration link below.

How it works?

  1. Register: An advocate/service provider should complete the intake form on behalf of survivors and help them collect the necessary documentation.
  2. We confirm your appointment: You will receive a confirmation email with your appointment time and virtual meeting instructions.
  3. Meet with a volunteer legal team: You will have a private virtual appointment with trained volunteers.

Confidentiality:
We will treat the information you share as confidential and use it only to support your clinic appointment and any agreed follow-up. We will not share your information outside the clinic team except as necessary to provide the requested assistance.

Important note: This clinic provides brief, limited-scope legal assistance and information. Participation does not create an ongoing attorney-client relationship.
